Can I play more than once in the same raffle?

Yes, you can more than one transaction for each draw, as long as the raffle is still open – you can play wherever and as often as you’d like! If you missed our last raffle, stay put as the next one will open shortly.

Where can I find the winning number and what happens if I win?

The winning number will be posted on foundation.canadiens.com within one business day of the raffle closing.

A member of the Foundation will also communicate with you by using the contact information you provided at the point of purchase. If your ticket has the winning number, you can also contact us by email at fondation5050@canadiens.com with proof of your ticket.

How much time does the winner have to claim the prize?

The winner has fourteen (14) business days to claim the prize. The person holding the winning number will be contacted by a representative of the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation as soon as the draw is completed.

Each raffle winner must provide the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation with all information required by provincial gaming regulations. By claiming their prize, the winner gives the Foundation the right to publish their name and amount won. All prizes that remain unclaimed after fourteen (14) business days will revert to the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation.

Where does the other half of the jackpot go?

Funds raised will benefit the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation in its mission to encourage physical activity and the adoption of a healthy lifestyle among underprivileged youth from 4 to 17 years old.

What are my chances of winning?

Chances of winning depend on the total number of tickets sold at the time of the draw.

If I didn’t win in a raffle, is my ticket still valid for the next raffle?

No, the tickets numbers automatically generated for each raffle held are solely valid for the raffle they were purchased to be a part of, and the date of the draw your purchase corresponds to will be clearly marked on your ticket. Each raffle is independent, and tickets do not carry over to the next one. Furthermore, your ticket numbers are unique and will not be included in any other raffle managed by the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation.

How long does it take to receive my tickets?

Tickets generally are sent to your email address within 5 minutes of ordering. Various reasons beyond our control, including a high volume of sales, could lead to there being a delay in the reception of your tickets. Make sure to enter your email address correctly with no errors when purchasing to ensure you receive your tickets. and check your spam and junk mail folders. If you still haven’t received your tickets within an hour of the transaction, please email us at fondation5050@canadiens.com.

I think I misspelled my email address when I purchased my tickets. What do I do?

If that happens, please contact us at fondation5050@canadiens.com with your full contact information. Make sure to include your full name and contact information so that we can track your transaction.

Is the prize taxable and is the purchase of a raffle ticket tax deductible?

Lottery winnings are not taxable in Quebec. However, no official receipt for income tax purposes will be issued for the purchase of 50/50 tickets, as set out by Canada Revenue Agency, because it provides the purchaser with a chance to win and is therefore not a charitable donation.

Am I able to get a refund?

All ticket sales are final. There will be no refunds issued to anyone for any reason. All tickets purchased and entered into the draw cannot be refunded, including if ticket purchaser made an error in selecting the number of tickets they wished to purchase.

Can I gift my tickets?

Tickets are non-transferrable. The prize will be awarded to the individual whose name appears as purchasing the ticket.
